tailgator generator problem

my buddy's got a mystery on his hands with his Tailgator generator.

He uses it for car detailing and outdoor jobs since he lacks external power.

It fired up perfectly the first two times, but now it's a no go, won't start at all.
We've gone through the usual checks, like spark, compression, and it's definitely getting fuel (he always runs the carb dry, and we confirmed tank flow).

He even went for the supposedly 'better built' model.
He's already pulled the carburetor, cleaned it thoroughly, and fuel flow to the carb is good. Still no start. What else could be causing this? Any leads or ideas for him would be huge!

Maybe check the kill switch wiring or low oil sensor. I encountered this problem before and those are the sources. Also, I guess it wouldn't hurt to try a new plug even if the old one sparks when you test it.

It's a 2S, no crankcase oil. Concur with trying different plug.

Might be worth pulling covers to see if there's some chafed/chewed wiring, that makes an intermittent open or short.

Absolutely. It's likely the kill switch or low oil sensor. I'd try a new plug and check the wiring next

Two stroke engine...no oil sensor.

Thanks for letting me know, I had no idea that two-strokes don't have an oil sensor. I really appreciate the correction
