Pulsar 4000 doesn't do it's job

My generator was working well last year before the winter months and I was powering my entire cabin off it. I keep it stored during the winter season because I almost never go to the cabin, so with the temps coming back to normal I decided to head up and clean things up a bit. The problem I have is that the generator doesn't cannot withstand anything more than a phone charger and a few bulbs. Any more than that and the breaker trips, which is werd because it didn't have this problem last year. What could be the problem?

I borrowed a Predator 4375 generator from my brother for the time being, which does the job at the moment but I'd like to solve the issue with my own

Not exactly an expert on this matter, but it sounds like it could be something fuel related, maybe? Clogged filter or bad fuel from sitting too long. Add some fresh fuel and clean or replace the filter to see if it helps.

Could old fuel or a clogged carb be limiting power output maybe even a failing capacitor or gummed-up governor? When was the last time you fully serviced it before storage?

So this was stored in an unoccupied structure? Any chance rodents could have gotten into it, and chewed wiring or otherwise performed mischief?

Would generator have been exposed to below freezing temps? I'm wondering if electrolytic caps on inverter board may have been degraded...can you steal a peek at the back side of inverter board, at the large 'cans' (aluminum electrolytic capacitors)? They should not have any bulged ends, split cases, or indications of leakage.

Don't forget to check the breaker too, it could be weak or have some corroded connections messing things up. A little troubleshooting can go a long way
