old honda 5000 watt generator timing belt

I bought this old honda 5000 watt generator, and it was a real runner, awesome little unit. But then, the timing belt snapped. And get this – it's completely obsolete! Can't find that specific belt anywhere.

The rest of the generator is actually in pretty good shape, so it's a real bummer.

I've tried a bunch of these "custom timing belt" websites, but they all ended up being dead ends. I'm thinking Motion Industries might be my last hope, but we'll see.

Does anyone out there have any brilliant ideas for finding an obsolete timing belt for one of these, or maybe a cross reference I haven't stumbled across yet? I'm totally open to suggestions!

You could try reaching out to small engine rebuild shops or industrial belt suppliers directly. Sometimes they have old stock or can match by tooth count and width.
