I'm reaching out to see if anyone can lend me a hand. I recently inherited an old Hobart welder generator from my uncle's barn, and it's been sitting there for decades. It still turns by hand, and I'm eager to get it up and running again.
The data plate shows it's a GR-303 with a Chrysler IND-32 engine, and the serial numbers are still readable. However, I have no clue about the year it was made or what the original paint color might have been. I'm really hoping to restore it as close to the original look as possible.
If anyone has any info about the history of these old Hobarts, the factory color codes, or where I might find a manual or parts diagrams, I'd really appreciate it! This would be an awesome project to help preserve a bit of family history.
